Our Rooms
Our learning spaces are carefully designed to support each stage of your child’s development.
At Elimatta, our learning environments are organised into three distinct learning spaces—Booboop, Yallaroo and Aruma. Each space has its own identity, reflecting the children, their stage of development and the experiences we aim to create for them.
Booboop (Babies Room) — A Place of New Beginnings
Our learning space for babies aged 6–18 months, recognising this important and precious stage in a child’s life and providing a calm, nurturing environment where they can feel secure, explore and begin their early learning journey.
Yallaroo (Toddler Room) — A Place to Grow and Flourish
Our learning space for toddlers aged 18–36 months, reflecting a time of rapid growth, discovery and a growing sense of independence as children explore, communicate and develop new skills.
Aruma (Kindergarten Rooms) — A Happy Place for Learning and Growth
Our kindergarten learning space, encompassing both our Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs. Delivered across two separate rooms, Aruma provides a positive and inspiring environment where children build confidence, friendships and a love of learning
Babies Room (6–18 months)
Our Babies Room provides a calm and nurturing environment where babies are supported to:
- develop secure and trusting relationships with educators
- follow individual routines that respect each child’s unique needs
- explore the world through sensory play and meaningful experiences
- build a strong sense of belonging, wellbeing and emotional security
In our Babies Room, every cuddle, conversation and interaction is meaningful, helping to build strong foundations for lifelong learning, confidence and healthy development.
Toddlers Room (18–36 months)
Our Toddler Room provides an engaging and supportive environment where children are encouraged to:
- explore their interests and make independent choices
- develop communication and language skills
- build friendships through sharing, cooperation and teamwork
- learn through active, hands-on play and meaningful experiences
Our educators create a responsive environment where every child feels valued, respected and supported as they develop their confidence and independence.
Three-Year-Old Kindergarten Room
Building Confidence Through Play
Our funded Three-Year-Old Kindergarten program provides children with a welcoming and engaging environment where they begin their kindergarten journey. Through play-based learning, children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning while building strong relationships with educators and peers.
Children are supported to:
- build confidence and develop a strong sense of belonging
- strengthen social skills, routines and independence
- develop communication and language through meaningful interactions
- engage in play-based learning, enquiry and guided exploration
This important stage lays the foundations for future learning while nurturing each child’s curiosity and individual strengths
Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Room
Preparing for a Successful Transition to School
Our funded Four-Year-Old Kindergarten program supports children to become confident, capable and independent learners. Through intentional teaching, inquiry projects and rich play-based experiences, children develop the skills needed for a successful transition to primary school.
Children are supported to:
- develop early literacy and numeracy through engaging play and intentional teaching
- participate in inquiry projects that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving and curiosity
- build independence, resilience, confidence and self-regulation
- strengthen concentration, collaboration and participation in group learning experiences
Our program prepares children with the knowledge, skills and confidence to embrace their next learning journey while fostering a lifelong love of discovery.
Our Incursions
We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our children enjoy a variety of engaging incursions that enrich our educational program, introduce new experiences and inspire curiosity through hands-on learning.
Kids POP
Our weekly Kids POP sessions combine music, movement, dance, storytelling and imaginative play in a fun and interactive environment. Children develop confidence, creativity, language, coordination and self-expression while enjoying engaging performances and activities that encourage participation and a love of the performing arts.
Little Sports Heroes
Our weekly Little Sports Heroes program introduces children to a wide range of sports and physical activities in an inclusive and supportive environment. Through exciting games and skill-based activities, children develop fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance, teamwork, confidence and an appreciation for healthy, active lifestyles.
Monthly Special Incursions
In addition to our weekly programs, we regularly host exciting incursions throughout the year that extend children’s learning and connect them with the wider community. These experiences may include visits from emergency services, wildlife and animal encounters, cultural performances, science and sustainability workshops, music and dance experiences, and other engaging educational programs. These incursions provide children with meaningful opportunities to explore new ideas, ask questions, build confidence and create lasting memories while supporting all areas of learning and development.
