Our Programs
Our Educational Program
At Elimatta Early Learning, our educational program is guided by each child’s interests, strengths, abilities and developmental needs. We follow a continuous cycle of planning that ensures every learning experience is meaningful, purposeful and responsive to the children in our care.
Our educators carefully observe children’s play, conversations and interactions each day. These observations help us understand what children are interested in, what they are learning and how we can extend their thinking through engaging experiences.
Our Planning Cycle include
Observe
We watch, listen and gather information about each child’s interests, development and learning.
ReflectOur educators reflect on children’s learning, considering what has been achieved and identifying opportunities to build on their knowledge and skills.
PlanUsing our observations and reflections, we plan meaningful experiences that align with the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and support each child’s individual learning journey.
ImplementChildren participate in engaging, play-based experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, problem-solving and collaboration.
EvaluateWe review the effectiveness of our program, celebrate children’s progress and use this information to inform our next observations, continuing the cycle of learning.
This ongoing planning cycle ensures our program remains responsive, engaging and tailored to every child’s unique learning journey while fostering confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Inquiry ProjectsAt Elimatta Early Learning, we believe children learn best when they are genuinely curious and actively involved in their own learning. Our inquiry projects are developed from the interests, questions and ideas that emerge from children throughout their daily play.
Educators carefully observe and listen to children’s conversations, wonderings and discoveries, using these to plan long-term projects that encourage deeper exploration and investigation. Through these projects, children are supported to ask questions, solve problems, research, experiment, create and share their ideas with others.
Inquiry projects integrate all areas of the curriculum, including literacy, mathematics, science, creativity and social learning, while promoting critical thinking, collaboration, communication and confidence.
As projects evolve, families are invited to be part of the learning journey by sharing ideas, experiences and knowledge, creating meaningful connections between home, the centre and the wider community.
